Gossip Girl here. Your one and only source into the scandalous lives of manhattans elite. Sorry.. I just couldn't resist. So tonight is the night! The Gossip Girl finale airs tonight and I am so sad to see the show end. This show honestly keeps you on your toes and there is always drama. When you're watching this show you can pretty much expect that there are going to be some crazy twists.
I find that watching this show is incredibly frustrating because the characters are constantly lying. As a viewer, you know the truth, so you can easily get mad while watching the show because you see the characters doing things that are wrong and believing the lies. At the same time, you can't get mad at them because if you were in their shoes you probably wouldn't know what was real or fake. I think the worst scenarios of this were:
1.
Ivy Dickens pretended to be Charlie Rhodes. Isn't that a felony? I mean, aside from the take down by Lily, she was hardly punished. She turns out to be a gross trophy girl for William van der Woodsen. Can we say "ew". Okay now say it again... and again.
2.
Juliette's efforts to avenge her brother. I'm pretty much referring to the plot that landed Serena in the Ostroff Center. I was mentally dying inside.
3.
William van der Woodsen giving Lily fake cancer. Self-explanitory.
4.
Jack Bass trying to take Chuck's inheritance. Some people may disagree, but I think that Chuck deserved it and watching Jack almost succeed was annoying.
5.
Jenny Humphrey and all her shenanigans. She became so conniving and manipulative pretty much like Blair except she looked like goth barbie and was ten times bitchier. It's the truth.
There are plenty more examples of dramatic irony in Gossip Girl, however I can only recall these ones at the moment! In the finale we will find out the identity of GG. Personally, I think it's either Dan because he's a writer and GG is pretty clever and articulate. In the last episode (6x9), Serena says to Dan, "You are worst than Gossip Girl. Then Dan has this weird look on his face. I don't know but I think that's a sign. Although there have been signs that Gossip Girl is each character in the whole show so you can never be too sure. The Humphries have always been outsiders in this world so
i think he used it as a way to get in and be like them. Also notice how Dan is writing to expose the upper east side, isn't that what Gossip Girl was created to do? Also notice how there hasn't been a lot of entries from Gossip Girl recently. How come GG? Why are you leaving us hanging here? Is is because you're too busy writing your own tell all memoir about the upper east side elite? I'm being a bit dramatic. It could also be Dorota. A lot of people think it's her because she learns all of the drama through Blair. I can see why people would think that because she probably has a lot of time on her hands. Well in the beginning she did. Not anymore, now that she's married with kids. But doesn't Dorota lack motive? I mean why would she create the Gossip Girl website to begin with? The Waldorf's is her family, so why would she hurt Blair? I guess we will find out tonight! I am so excited. If the producers decide to keep it a secret, I would be furious. Like they already made the last season a measly 10 episodes, how worst could it get? Anyways I will write a post once it's done because now I'm just rambling.
